Our very own Music Teacher, Stephanie Taylor, won the Knight Arts Challenge People’s Choice Award, which spotlights the great work of some of the city’s small arts groups.
She won for her non-profit, Miami Girls’ Rock Camp, which empowers young girls through the arts with an annual volunteer-run camp that teaches them to perform music.
Miami Girls’ Rock Camp won a $20,000 grant, which will allow them to help many more girls within our community.
Way to go Stephanie! We are so proud of you and your camp!
