Admissions Application Process

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. The Mandelstam School evaluates each student based on a personal interview/assessment and visit with parents and children. We also consider a student’s academic record, recommendations from teachers or adults who know the child, and scores on tests already administered. Our Admission Committee considers each student individually.

If you are interested in applying, complete the following steps:

N

Step One: Contact and visit the school

Please call the office at 305-662-2736 to schedule a campus visit. In addition to a parent meeting there is also an opportunity for the child to attend a class, meet teachers, and visit with future classmates.

N

Step Two: Apply

You may Download Application Materials Here, or request an application package to be mailed.  The application covers essential contact information and helps us get to know your family.  There is a $100 non-refundable application fee.

We also require a release of school records (not required for new junior kindergarten students who have never attended school) and teacher recommendation forms. Immunization records and other registration forms are requested once a student has been admitted.

N

Step Three: Assessment / Interview

Once the application, school records and teacher evaluation forms are received we will call to schedule an interview with you and your child. Your child will then complete an academic assessment with a teacher and a gymnastics assessment with a coach in our gym. Children should wear comfortable shorts and shirt for the gymnastics assessment.

N

Step Four: Review

The Mandelstam School admission committee reviews all application materials.  An invitation of acceptance, if applicable, will be sent to you.

N

Step Five: Enrollment

Once a student is invited to attend, an enrollment agreement is issued.  A signed contract and non-refundable deposit are required to hold a place in the class.

If you have any questions about the admission process, please call the office at 305-662-2736 or info@tmsedu.org.  We look forward to seeing you on campus!

The Mandelstam School does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religion, nationality, or ethnic origin in the admission of students.
