Curriculum
The Mandelstam School (TMS) provides a nurturing learning environment with a stimulating program that weaves together developmentally and age-appropriate challenges with best practices, current research and individual needs. The School’s curriculum extends beyond the walls of the classroom as our concern for the academic, intellectual, creative, social, physical, ethical, and emotional growth of each student leads naturally to programs that support the whole child.
Our unique triad of academics, athletics and the arts inspires students to develop their ability to think critically and creatively about the world. The physical education gymnastics program, as well as ballet, provides students with skills that transcend beyond their daily school life. Theater, music and the visual arts help to encourage creativity, open-ended thinking and cooperation. Through our many offerings, children find their passions and develop their interests and strengths. As a result, students become independent thinkers and competent decision makers who are eager to learn.
Our master teachers strive to meet each student’s learning needs with a variety of instructional techniques to teach students. Our small class size ensures teachers get to know their students as individuals; guiding and supporting them throughout their time at TMS.
Our goal is to provide all students with the skill and confidence to become life-long learners and socially responsible citizens.
